For example, earlier this month Xbox Game Pass lost some major titles. GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition of San Andreas, Enter the Gungeon, Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster, Remnant: From The Ashes, and The Wild at Heart all left the service, and each of these is certainly a loss. However, the games exiting at the end of May 2022 are not nearly as bad for a couple of reasons.

Xbox Game Pass Titles Leaving at the End of May 2022
First, it’s worth looking at what exactly is leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of May.
EA Sports NHL 20 (Console) Farming Simulator 19 (Cloud, Console, and PC) Knockout City (Console and PC) EA Play Resident Evil 7 Biohazard (Cloud, Console, and PC) Spellforce 3: Soul Harvest (PC) Superhot Mind Control Delete (Cloud, Console, and PC) Yes Your Grace (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Xbox Game Pass is Updating Some of These Old Titles
For some of these games, it’s not so much of a departure as it is an update. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added EA Sports NHL 22 earlier this month (through its partnership with EA Play), meaning losing the old one is no big deal. The same is true of Farming Simulator, as the latest entry in the franchise hits on Thursday, May 19, ahead of Farming Simulator 19’s departure. So, these two games have been upgraded and swapped essentially.
Meanwhile, Knockout City is transitioning to a free-to-play model, beginning with season 6 on June 1. In other words, those who have enjoyed playing it on Game Pass don’t have any real concern. They’ll still be able to play it, for free.
Xbox Game Pass May 2022 Departure List: Softening the Bow
Luckily, with these factors, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can easily soften the blow of the rest of these titles. Resident Evil 7 is a huge success for Capcom, and Resident Evil Village is climbing its sales charts too. In other words, most users who want to play RE7 on Xbox Game Pass likely already have. However, even if they haven’t, they have plenty of time to beat it. It, on average, takes about nine hours to beat Resident Evil 7, and with 13 days before its removal as of that writing, it’s an easy game to finish in this time.
The same also goes for Superhot Mind Control Delete and Yes Your Grace. Both are incredibly short games, worthy of a few sessions, and then a kind farewell as they leave Xbox Game Pass. The former takes about six hours to beat, and the latter takes the same amount of time. Spellforce 3: Soul Harvest, on the other hand, is much longer, coming in at 21 hours. Should anyone be interested, though, it’s not impossible to beat between now and its removal date, as well as the other games. In other words, the games leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of this month are not much of a concern at all.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers get a handful of free games every month.
